This Privacy Policy explains how hoght (“we”, “our”, “the app”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the app.

When you sign up or log in, we collect:

Password (handled by Firebase Authentication; we do not store your password ourselves)

Content you create

When you use the app, we collect and store:

Thoughts you post
Comments you post
Reaction counts (“I feel this” count)

Technical information

Firebase may collect certain device/app information for security and functionality (for example: device identifiers and IP address), according to Firebase’s services.

2) How we use your information

We use your information to:

Create and manage your account
Display your thoughts and comments in the app
Sync content across sessions and devices
Maintain app security and prevent abuse

3) Where your data is stored

hoght uses Google Firebase services:

Firebase Authentication for login
Cloud Firestore to store user profiles, thoughts, and comments

Your data is stored on Firebase servers and processed according to Firebase and Google’s terms.

4) Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only:

With Firebase/Google as our infrastructure provider to operate the app
When required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security

5) Data retention

We keep your account and content for as long as your account remains active or as needed to operate the app.

If you delete a thought from your profile, it is removed from our Firestore database. (Some related data such as comments may remain unless explicitly deleted.)

6) Your choices and controls

You can:

Log out at any time
Delete your own thoughts from your profile
Contact us to request deletion of your account data (see Contact section)

7) Security

We use Firebase security features and Firestore security rules to help protect your data. However, no online system is 100% secure.

8) Children’s privacy

hoght is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore)

10) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the “Effective date” when changes are made.
